We used ausmove to move our 3 bedroom stuff from Auckland to Melbourne and it was an awful experience and costed us a fortune.

Their quotation was the highest amongst all still we used them thinking they were the best but in return all we received was disappointment.

After three months we have received our shipment which have taken way too long and we are not at all satisfied the way we have received our stuff. So much of our things are damaged.

Washing machine not working Fridge is making weird noises Dryer handle is broken expensive clothes were packed with rubbish bins and vacuum cleaner which are totally spoiled.

We have not even opened all our boxes and don't know how much more of our stuff is damaged or broken.

We were told it's door to door service where they will pack everything and on the other side they will reassemble everything but at the time of delivery they refused to assemble anything over 5 pieces. We ended up assembling ourselves.

Their partners(oss worldwide movers) are totally useless. They won't reply to your phone calls or emails for days

Even ausmove is not replying to my email which I sent a week ago to raise my concerns.

We moved from Auckland to the Gold Coast in May 2017. I have nothing positive to write about the disaster that is AusMove except to say that the guy who packed and moved our entire 4 bedroom house over 3 days was incredibly hard working, dedicated and professional. We all felt sorry for him as he worked alone to pack our house; other random workers (who were all very sweet) popped over from time to time to assist him in the move but he largely moved by himself.
After we'd moved, we received a new bill for an extra $600 claiming that they had needed to use extra material and pack extra stuff! Their sales person visited and should have noted everything! We refused as the move took so long (3 days) that we had to delay cleaners etc. to accommodate them so they agreed to reduce this amount to $200. We paid it to get them off our back and to expedite the process. I have moved at least a dozen times with all the major carriers and AusMove are by far the most clueless bunch of all. I have never felt such stress and frustration in dealing with a move that the exhaustion and bad taste remained with us for weeks after the move.
Our shipment was handles by Kent once we arrived in Australia and I cannot speak highly enough of them. A complete contrast to AusMove, professional, dedicated and very experienced.
Once we'd unpacked we realised our fridge was not cooling. I emailed them on 10/07/17 and asked to start an insurance claim and I didn't hear from them for 10 days! Id given up and gone through the manufacturer as the fridge was still under warranty and had a new fridge in place in less than a week. Really disappointed in the management at AusMove, the packers/movers are great guys.

My family of 5 relocated from Auckland to Noosa in January 2016.

We got a few quotes to ship our entire household, a full container. Ausmove came in with competitive price & a 'can do', professional attitude that won us over.

I also researched the different companies’ reviews and found many very good Ausmove reviews.

Moving is such a stressful time & I was so worried I had not prepared anything prior to Ausmove coming to pack up our house.

The Ausmove truck & team arrived & put me completely at ease as they explained the process & assured me that everything would be packed & ready for shipping as per our time frame.
The packing team worked what seemed like effortlessly to pack up our home & before we knew it our container was closed & taken away for shipping.

We took out insurance with Ausmove. Their policy was cost effective & easy to complete.

When we arrived in Australia we were contacted in regard to our shipment & arrival time. As we were looking for a rental property, the timing was crucial to us for the delivery of our goods.

The Australian team made the delivery of our goods so easy! They came the day & time we requested & worked relentlessly without complaint in 34 degree heat & many stairs.

They did not leave until we were happy, even removed the rubbish and empty cartons.

We would like to recommend Ausmove to anyone looking for a faultless shipping company when moving to Australia. They are professional, meticulous & trustworthy.

They also provided a great contact for relocating our cat too.

My husband and I have recently located from Christchurch, New Zealand to Chinchilla, Queensland with this company. The price was competitive and Laura, our coordinator for much of the move, was very informative. It's unfortunate that the contractor Ausmove used for the Christchurch end of our move was not brilliant - they knowingly sent used fruit boxes to Australia when they had committed to repack them, and they wrapped three plates at a time, didn't wrap any of our framed certificates, and just tossed ornaments in a box and then tapped it up. Needless to say, this resulted in fines from customs for the fruit boxes and heaps of breakages. The contractor in question (the Moving Company) had advised for me to just go with them for the entirety of our move, rather than have an overarching company like Ausmove picking contractors on either end. But I'm glad I went with Ausmove. Ausmove followed up The Moving Company and made them pay the fees for the fruit boxes. They also arranged a substantial good will payment to cover damage to the dehumidifier bar in my piano and the destruction of my husband's and my dinner set. The good will payment came through just yesterday. The ride may not have always been smooth, but I can confirm that Ausmove does follow up if service is not satisfactory at first. For problem resolutions, I will give them a five out five.

I used Ausmove to move between Auckland (New Zealand) to Melbourne (Australia). The entire process from receiving a quote, asking questions, shipping my household goods out to receiving my goods in Melbourne was truly a breeze. I dealt with one person in NZ, and one person in Australia. Laura in NZ was amazing; she was knowledgable, responded to all my emails quickly, followed up - took care of me the whole way.

The guys who came in to lift my household goods on moving day packaged everything thoroughly and upon receiving my goods in Australia nothing was damaged. Their transport partner in Australia also went out of their way to make a special delivery to suit my schedule and didn’t charge me any extra even though my apartment was up stairs and had difficult parking restrictions.

I received quotes from at least 6 other companies, none were as competitive and thorough in their quote as Ausmove was. I have nothing but praise for Ausmove and their high quality of service. And I will be recommending them to anyone looking to move overseas.

Before I start my story, PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER THEM AT ANY COST!

So we moved our luggage from Auckland to Brisbane and got a quote from these guys (we paid over $6500). Since I wasn't in Auckland at the time of the move, I signed some paper saying that I am not going to be there and my mother was in charge. So these guys went to pack at the property on the date as prescribed and did a terrible job packing. Long story short, the following things went wrong:

-> a lot of the items on the list were packed in boxes so I ended up paying double for the same item. The signed form was used against me.

-> Idiots were sent to pack where one of the packed items included a sock, pair of scissors and a roll of thread (properly paper wrapped). One package contained a used paint pot (obviously something to be disposed) with paper wrapping.
-> Soo much paper was used that I felt like I was paying for shipping paper. To add to it the bed headboard and some of the crockery items broke during shipping.

-> Never to worry, I paid $650 for insurance but they never sent me an insurance form once I told them how unhappy I was with their service. I asked to talk to the boss and I am still waiting..

-> The service included assembly of beds and large items of furniture. But the packing crew put the legs for one of the beds in the boxes without any labelling so the crew in Brisbane was left helpless and again I paid for something I didn't get.

-> We were allowed to fill up the drawers and beds with linen as per the advised procedure but somewhere in the packing process, the crew decided to empty them out without letting us know and filled up the paid boxes with them.

Again I can't emphasis how disgusting my experience was and if I can save 1 person from going with these scammers, I think my time posting this is worth it.

Don’t even think about them. I am so glad about that we have an insurance at least. That is our only luck.

We did receive someone else’s box as part of our delivery. It was over-labelled (our label was on top of another label 100% covering it).

They ignored talking to us for more than 3 weeks and when we finally managed to get in touch with them the branch manager promised to sending us updates same day. We did not hear from them for another 3-4 days and I needed to email them for information which they promised to send and surprisingly we did receive nothing.

They cannot locate our box. On top of that they even said that we don’t have a missing box. There were just some labelling issues and their staff miscounted the boxes.. (I’m sorry what ?!?!?!) but it’s obvious on the paperwork that’s not the case. We also identified missing items (e.g. a lamp, but on the box their crew described the content as kitchenware and clothes) and even I had to explain them how did that happen having a missing item which is not under the same category as their staff’s handwriting described the content. (Again, whaaat??!??!?!) This IN SANE.

Their stuff is packing the boxes, labelling them and writing notes regarding the content of it. I have nothing to do with that.

I never experienced such a poor quality service and ignorant customer service in New Zealand.

Our second shipment did not arrive yet and we have a missing box from the first shipment. I’m so disappointed, upset and also terrified whether our belongings will finally arrive safe after that?

We had quite good experience with Allied Pickfords in the past and our friends used Transworld, I recommend to chose one of them for your own sake and to avoid the same experience and nightmares we are going through with Ausmove.
